How to Choose a Lash Artist
Are you thinking about getting eyelash extensions but not sure where to start? I'm here to help! I've created a list of things to research and consider before choosing your lash artist!
-
Are they licensed? Every technician that is applying eyelash extensions is required to have a board certified license either in cosmetology or in esthetics. Certain states may have different rules. Check your state for clarification.
-
How long have they been doing lashes? There is a big difference between 2 months of lashing and 3 years of lashing.
-
Check their pictures to see their work. Make sure they're using real photos of their work and not stock photos.
-
Stay away from cheap deals. I know a low price may be intriguing but cheap deals can almost guarantee cheap work. Ex: "Purchase a full set of eyelash extensions for $40" deal bought through a discount coupon website.
-
Do they have a good reputation? Ask around. What are other people in your area saying about them?
-
Remember that these are your EYES and this decision should be taken very seriously. If people aren't saying good things about them or their work...RUN!
